Airakty Valley of Castles

Airakty is a mountainous area located about 10 km east of Mount Sherkala, one of the highlights of Mangystau. The area is devoid of settlements, and the landscape is dominated by weathered cliffs, sands, and grasslands. As you navigate through the valleys and stand atop the mountains, you can witness the awe-inspiring natural artistry of towering rock walls, jagged peaks, and exposed strata.

Ustyurt Plateau

The Ustyurt Plateau stretches across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. It is a desert area of approximately 200,000 square kilometers, with cliffs more than 150 meters high on its periphery. The uplift of geological strata accumulated at the bottom of the sea in prehistoric times and weathering has created a variety of landforms. Camping tours are popular to visit miraculous and spectacular landscapes such as canyons that seem to cut through the earth and pure white rock peaks.
