Sunrise

Sunrise is a tourist base located northeast of Mount Rainier, at an elevation of about 1,950 meters, the highest point accessible by car in Mount Rainier National Park. Looking at Mount Rainier from here, the Emmons Glacier, which is the largest in the United States, covers its surface. There are many trails with 2,000-meter elevation viewpoints that you can walk along while enjoying the spectacular scenery.

Mount Rainier National Park stretches around Mount Rainier, the highest peak in the Cascade Mountains that run north to south along the west coast of the United States. Forests and lakes spread out around the majestic mountain, which is covered with perennial snow and glaciers, and in the summer, colorful alpine plants bloom in profusion.
