Cape Hachiman Park
Cape Hachiman juts out into the Pacific Ocean in the southeastern part of the Boso Peninsula. During the Sengoku period, there was Katsuura Castle in the area, and the cape got its name from the Hachiman Shrine that was built within the castle grounds. Although the castle was abandoned in 1590 and no trace of it remains, Cape Hachiman is still a fun place to visit, with a shrine and a promenade in the park. It is a popular spot for viewing the beautiful sea and both sunrise and sunset.
Minamiboso
The Minamiboso area stretches to the southernmost tip of the Boso Peninsula, jutting out into the Pacific Ocean. It is the perfect place to forget about the hustle and bustle of the city and refresh yourself by enjoying the peaceful suburban atmosphere and the spectacular views of the rich ocean and mountains. There are many ways to enjoy the area, such as experiencing the great nature of caves and canyons, playing to your heart's content at hot spring resorts and theme parks, and driving along the rias coast and beaches.
