Fjallsjökull Glacier Lake

Fjallsjökull Glacier Lake is located at the southern end of Vatnajökull Glacier in southeastern Iceland. The nearby Glacier Lake of Jókulsárlón is a famous tourist spot, but this is a secret spot, a little further back from Route 1. In a quiet environment, you can enjoy to your heart's content the beautiful scenery of the glacier approaching very close and the lake filled with drifting ice blocks.

South Coast of Iceland

Along National Route 1 on the south coast of Iceland, from Selfoss to the town of Höfn, there is a wide variety of scenery created by volcanoes and glaciers.
