Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall

Standing majestically at the back of the vast, symmetrically designed grounds is the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, with its impressive white walls and octagonal roof. Built in 1980 as a memorial to the founder of the Republic of China, Chiang Kai-shek, the hall is a symbol of Taipei and a major tourist attraction.
