Nagoya TV Tower
The Nagoya TV Tower, a symbol of Nagoya, stands on Hisaya-odori in Sakae, and has been in operation since 1954 as Japan's first centralized radio tower. Even after the end of analog broadcasting, its status as a tourist attraction has not wavered, thanks to its beautiful design, which is now a registered tangible cultural property. The tower was renovated and reopened in 2020, and has become an increasingly popular observation spot where visitors can enjoy dining and lodging.
Sakae, Nagoya
Sakae is Nagoya's busiest shopping district, with numerous commercial facilities crowded together. The city's landmarks are the Nagoya TV Tower, which stands tall on the main street, and Oasis 21, a multi-story park with a large glass roof called a "water spaceship. In addition to shopping, you can also fully enjoy a gourmet trip to enjoy the unique food culture called "Nagoya Meshi".
