Dive sites in North Malé Atoll
North Malé Atoll is one of the earliest areas in the Maldives to be developed as a resort, and therefore has a long history of diving and a wealth of marine data. There are many dive sites throughout the atoll, especially in the southern part of the atoll near the capital Malé and the airport, where divers can see the popular manta rays and schools of large migratory fish.
North Malé Atoll
Among the 26 atolls in the Republic of Maldives, North Malé Atoll, where the capital Malé is located, is the center of the Maldives, a resort powerhouse with numerous hotels. The atoll, which stretches 69 km from north to south and 39 km from east to west, has about 30 resort islands and a wide range of diving sites. One of the greatest features of the North Malé Atoll is the easy access from the international airport to the resorts. You can arrive at the paradise of the resort islands by speedboat through the atolls, which are less prone to wave action.
