Lake Hangetsu

At the foot of Mt. Yotei, Lake Hangetsu is nestled in a deep virgin forest. There is a walking path through a forest of giant mizunara, Yezo spruce, and Erman's birch trees, where you can enjoy the natural beauty of Mt. Yotei peeking out from time to time and the lake that seems to sink into the forest. It used to be a bustling tourist spot with boats for rent, but now it is a quiet place where you can just sit back and enjoy the nature.
