Meieki Dori

Meieki Dori (Meieki Street) is a 4km-long street that stretches north-south along the railroad tracks from Meitetsu Sako Station, through Nagoya Station, to Sanno Station. Located in the center of the metropolis of Nagoya, the avenue is bustling with people coming and going every day. In addition to the many skyscrapers and tourist spots along the street, the street itself is illuminated in winter, creating a gorgeous atmosphere just by walking along it.

The Meieki area, which stretches around Nagoya Station, is Nagoya's premier business district, lined with high-rise buildings. Starting with JR Central Towers, which opened in 1999, the city has been undergoing redevelopment and is currently undergoing further urbanization. You can visit the observation floors in each of the skyscrapers, or visit the surrounding museums of the companies that have grown in the area.
