Vienna, Austria
Wiedner Haupt Street
Wiedner Haupt Street is a 2 km long road that begins at Karlsplatz, a park located in the south of Vienna's Old City, and ends at Matzleinsdorfer Platz in the southwest. As part of the road connecting Vienna and Italy, it has a long history dating back to the Middle Ages. Tramways run along 19th century buildings and pleasant rows of trees, providing a beautiful yet unadorned view of everyday life in Vienna.
Belvedere Area
The Belvedere was built in 1723 to the south of the old town of Vienna as a summer residence of Austrian general Prince Eugene. The magnificent baroque pavilion is now a museum known for its Gustav Klimt collection. The surrounding area is home to embassies, universities, unique restaurants and stores, and with the opening of the Vienna Central Station in 2014, it is becoming an increasingly busy international train destination.
