Freccia nel Cielo
The Freccia nel Cielo (Arrow in the Sky) cable car connects Cortina d'Ampezzo, the tourist center of the Dolomites, with the summit of Tofana di Mezzo at 3,244 m. The cable car takes about 30 minutes to ascend the 2,000 m elevation difference by transferring between the two stations. In addition to admiring the spectacular view of the mountains and valley below from the top of the mountain, you can enjoy the great nature of the Dolomites by walking along the various hiking trails that extend from the stations along the way.
Dolomites
The Dolomites, a mountainous region in northeastern Italy, is known for its numerous mountain massifs that contain a unique ore called dolomite. The mountains that rise like spires toward the sky are a unique and spectacular natural formation, and their impressive scenery, together with the forests and villages that cover their foothills, is a highlight of the region. It is a major resort area that attracts people all year round, with mountain climbing and hiking in the summer and a skiing mecca in the winter.
