Independence Park
Independence Park is located in the Ipiranga district near the center of São Paulo, where the Crown Prince Pedro declared independence from Portugal on September 7, 1822. The park was inaugurated in 1989 to preserve the cultural heritage of the site, which bears the memory of the declaration of independence known as the "Cry of Ipiranga". The park, with its beautiful French-style garden, is a popular place for citizens to relax.
