Großer Garten
Located at the eastern edge of Dresden's Old Town, Großer Garten is the largest rectangular park in the city, covering approximately 1.8 square kilometers. Its history dates back to 1680, when the garden was built by the future Elector of Saxony, Johann George III. Centered on the elegant palace that stands in its original state, the park is a favorite recreational spot for citizens, with beautiful gardens, walking paths in the forest, and a zoo and botanical garden.
Dresden
Dresden, the capital of Saxony, is located in eastern Germany near the border with the Czech Republic. The beauty of the old town, nestled in the open land along the Elbe River, is outstanding. The magnificent Baroque cityscape built in the 18th and 19th centuries was devastated during World War II, but years of restoration work have restored it to its original beauty, and many travelers come to enjoy the elegant atmosphere of the ancient city.
