Dihua Street
Dihua Street, located in Dadaocheng, one of Taipei's oldest districts, is a historic shopping street lined with beautifully preserved traditional buildings. Long known for its herbal medicine shops and stores selling dried goods, the area has also become home to a growing number of cafés, boutiques, and design shops. Careful restoration has brought many of its elegant Baroque-style facades back to life, making Dihua Street one of Taipei's most popular places to explore.
Dadaocheng
Dadaocheng is a historic district located just north of Taipei Main Station. It flourished as a center for Taiwan’s tea exports to Europe and North America during the late Qing dynasty, becoming one of the island’s most important commercial hubs. Many buildings from that era still stand today, some of them open to visitors. The area is especially known for Dihua Street, where traditional shops selling Chinese herbs, dried goods, and local specialties line the streets, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that continues to attract visitors from around the world.
