Taisekiji Temple
Taisekiji Temple is the head temple of Nichiren Shoshu, located in Fujinomiya, at the foot of Mt. Fuji. In 1290, Nikko, one of the six disciples of Nichiren, moved to Oishigahara and founded the temple. There are many cherry blossom trees planted in the vast precincts, and in spring the whole area is dyed pink with Mt. Fuji in the background, attracting many flower viewers.
