Big Tree Wayside
Redwoods are giant trees that tower over the forests of the American West Coast. One of the largest of these trees is the Big Tree Wayside at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. The giant tree, said to be 1,500 years old, stands about 87 meters tall and has a circumference of about 23 meters. Located just a short walk from the parking lot, it has become one of the most popular destinations among state parks because anyone can easily encounter this overwhelming natural wonder.
Redwood National State Park
Redwood National State Park stretches for about 560 square kilometers along the Pacific coast of northern California. The park protects a virgin redwood forest, one of the oldest and largest trees on earth. The misty forest is home to giant trees up to 100 meters tall and rare animals, and trail courses have been established so that visitors can experience a mysterious and majestic world once they step into the park.
